Juice Cleansing Day

Today I'm doing a juice cleanse with Bolthouse Farms smoothies.  I'm just doing a one day juice cleanse, mostly because this is my first time attempting a cleanse.  I made sure that my calender was pretty clear for today as you don't want to engage in a lot of activities that cause you to use a lot of energy because drinking smoothies all day is not a sufficient means of food nor energy.  The only thing that I was mostly concerned with by looking at the nutrition label was the fact that Bolthouse drinks are anywhere from 18-30 grams of sugar per 8 oz serving.  However, it says on the bottle, "No Added Sugar".  I googled how many grams of sugar are we suppose to consume per a day and this is what it said, word for word:

"According to the American Heart Association (AHA), the maximum amount of added sugars you should eat in a day are (7): Men: 150 calories per day (37.5 grams or 9 teaspoons). Women: 100 calories per day (25 grams or 6 teaspoons)."

So, I'm thinking that it's okay to drink these smoothies because what they're implying is that whatever sugars are in the smoothie are naturally from the fruit and/or vegetables.  It's very difficult to avoid unprocessed food, but I'm going to attempt to eat as healthy and unprocessed as I possibly can.  I keep having this battle on whether I just want to be a plus size advocate and eat all the junk food that I want or eat healthy, exercise, and actually be healthy.  All I know is, I shouldn't have all these health problems that I have at the age of 23 and most of them are either due to being overweight or my anxiety.  I'm going to give this another go and see where it takes me.  I'd love to wear some short-shorts or even just feel comfortable wearing a tank top.  As of right now, I will wear pants and a t-shirt all summer because I'm not comfortable with showing my legs or arms.  My ultimate goal is to get down to 135 pounds which results in needing to lose 140 pounds.

Here's to being healthier!  Have you ever done a juice cleanse?  How do you feel about them?
