Things You (Deep Down Inside) Wanted To Know About Grumpy Cat

Jason and I are huge fans of Grumpy Cat, formerly known as Tardar Sauce.  Yes, Tardar Sauce.  Why not name the cat Fish?  No wonder the poor thing looks miserable.

Last night, Jason and I were sitting here and for some odd reason, we originally had the desire to Google the net-worth of random celebrities.  Jason said, "What about Grumpy Cat?  It is technically a celebrity, isn't it?"  So, when we started saying "it" that is when we realized that we didn't know much really about this cat except it was known for its miserable face.  How can you be a fan of something that you hardly know anything about?  We had to fix this and quick!

Grumpy cat is a mixed female.  Her species is felis catus.  She was born April 4th, 2012 which makes her only 2 years old.  Tabatha Bundesen is the lucky person who owns this grump of a feline.  You might be interested to know that Tabatha was able to quit her job as a waitress only a few short weeks of Grumpy Cat making her appearance on YouTube.  She is known for being grumpy, but what most people don't know about her is that she actually has a form of dwarfism that makes her look that way.  Grumpy Cats mother was a calico and her father is unknown.  Grumpy Cat also has a brother named Pokey who also has dwarfism.  Despite her stereotypical features, she is actually quite lovable.

The biggest fun fact that we found on Grumpy cat is that in just the short time she has been alive and merely a YouTube sensation, she has already an accumulative net-worth of 100 million.  That's more than most human celebrities have earned in their lifetime!  Kevin Hart (a well-known actor and comedian) only nets at 30 million and look at how long hes been around!  Robin Williams net-worth was only 30 million.  Okay, so maybe Grumpy Cat doesn't beat J.K Rowling at her whopping 1 billion net worth, but still, it's very impressive.

Wait. . .what about my cat, Isabelle? She shares similar features of grumpy cat.  Look!

Ahhh, okay.  Not quite.  She does appear to be the runt of her litter though!  She has very short legs.  (See picture below)

Bell is our own little version of Grumpy Cat and I wouldn't trade her for the world, Simba either.
