I feel like I really have to be honest here. My content lately has been complete and utter crap. There isn't much to blog about when all I do is physical therapy and school. Besides that, I also have a lack of money. I'm really hoping that once I get back to work, my life will pick back up and I will have better things to talk about. What is there to write about when you don't do much with your life? Wow. I just literally read that question out loud. Could I be any more negative? I've read a time or two that if you have nothing to talk about, you just shouldn't blog. You can't compensate quantity for quality. In simpler terms, if you're content isn't worth reading, you've pretty much have wasted your time.
What do you do when you have blogging dry spells?
I mean, I don't want people to think that I'm neglecting my blog and then they lose interest in me. I'm still here...just not here, here. I love my blog. I really want ya'll to know that. I'm still trying to find my place in the blogging world. I'm a little frustrated. I guess my head is wrapped around "blogging perfectly". I'm never happy with my layout or my writing. I know there is no such thing as "blogging perfectly".
I always read that a lot of bloggers are off doing this and that and I'm over here doing nothing. I'm like, "How do they afford to go do all these things all the time?"
I thought about being a food critic blogger and was like, "For one, I'm overweight. Two, I don't have money for that shit." I'm graduating from my associates degree in June -- I should be smarter than this! I know that I should be writing for myself as most bloggers say, but I'm just curious as to how many of you actually read my blog. Better yet, I want to know how many of you read my blog and don't comment.
I'm going to try to come up with some really great content. I promise! Maybe I'm just having a moment.

I feel you on the dry spell. That's why I made a schedule. Posting three times a week isn't a ton but it's better than posting whenever I get a chance because it was ending up that I was putting out rambly dumb shit... or not posting for a couple weeks. I'm hoping the semi-themed schedule helps me.
ReplyDeleteBut I've been trying out different looks on my blog too and I feel like it just takes a little time to find a style you really like.
I wish us both luck! Haha.
