Scentsy Review

Without further ado, my review of Scentsy is here!  It's been long past due.  First of all, I would like to take a minute to thank Brianna for presenting me with the opportunity to review Scentsy and might I add that she was rather generous with the products that she gave me.  She wanted to make sure that I tried a little of everything in order to conduct the best review.  I've known Brianna since middle and high school and she is a pleasure to work with.  It's my honest opinion that you can confide in Brianna to provide you with the best customer service.

Brianna sent me this lovely warmer called Aspen Grove and it truly is a beautiful warmer.  The warmer does get sufficiently hot in order to melt the wax and the dish is very easily cleaned.  All you have to do is wipe it out!

She sent me three very delicious smelling bars -- B-A-N-A-N-A-S, Havana Cabana, and Vanilla Bean Buttercream.  As soon as you open the package, you can instantly smell them.  The wax is smooth to the touch and breaks rather easy for your convenience.  My house smells so good whenever I melt any of the scents.  People think I'm actually baking in the kitchen!

See how pretty it is lit up!  The great thing about this warmer is that it's so versatile.  I can use it in the living room, kitchen, or bedroom.  What I really like about Scentsy is that you can smell the scent before it barely even melts!  So, when it really starts to melt, you can just imagine how good your whole house will smell!

This was everything that Brianna had sent to me.  I love, love, LOVE the body butter!  I still can't stop using it!  The scent she sent to me in the body spray and body butter was Sugar.  It smells so good and hydrates your skin so well.  If you have really dry skin, I would definitely recommend the body butter.  The spray smells just as good.  The room spray that Brianna sent me was Coconut Cotton.  I love spraying this in my room right before I lay down.  It makes the room smell like an island paradise and leaves a calming effect.

The scent circle that Brianna sent me is called, 'My Only Sunshine'.  I know Brianna's products are really strong, so I attached the scent circle to my cat's liter box.  All I smell is this sweet scent.  No more stink!

Look!  Even Simba is a fan!  Scentsy is a lot cheaper than Bath and Body Works and the quality is just as good, if not better.  Scentsy offers everything from warmers and scent bars to laundry  and body products!  Brianna always has a lot of great deals going on!  Oh, and if you go to Brianna's site by clicking here and go under open parties and order through my party, "Tinisha's Blog", you will win a FREE product upon purchase, no matter how much you spend!

What are you waiting for?!  Go order your Scentsy products now!

My Review of 2014

Granted, every year I always say it's going to be my year and it never really is.  I really, truly believe that New Year resolutions are overrated mostly because if you don't end up sticking to them, you feel like a completely failure and end up crying over spilled milk.  So, this year I will be do things a little different; I'm going into 2015 with no intentions, but just trying to have a great year and to have a better year than the last.

Taking a look back earlier into the year, Jason and I moved into our first place in April and that has been a completely amazing experience.  For the first time in our lives, we are truly learning how the world works which we're finding that's not always such a scary thing.  I'm so glad to finally be independent and completely responsible for myself.  I know that sounds crazy, but having the satisfaction of knowing that you can do whatever you want, when you want is an idea that I've been lusting over for quite some time and now I can proudly say I can do whatever I want, when I want.  Jason and I have all the privacy that we could ever ask for.  Oh yeah and I can walk around in just a t-shirt and panties if I want!  Jason is also excited that he has a whole garage to himself and can do things the way he wants.  It's not as difficult to live on your own as people make it out to be if you're smart and budget in a way that's feasible for you.  Despite the fact that Jason and I rather have a house, it's just not in our cards right now and that's perfectly okay.  At least we are getting a taste of reality.

There is definitely a lot more responsibility to be had when it comes to owning a home rather than renting an apartment, but it's a good start anyway.  At least we can say that we have our own place . . . most people our age still live at home with their parents.  Even though we rent, we call our apartment a house because it's technically like a house.  Well, it is.  It's classified as a townhouse. . .we just have a neighbor that is literally attached to us instead of having a patch of grass separating us.

Prior to moving out of Jason's parents house, we brought in a little gray tabby cat kitty that was freezing out in the cold during early January of this year and was noticeably under malnourished.  This is what she looked like before we took her in:

I mean, she doesn't look that bad, but Jason and I were also feeding her about a week or so before we actually received permission from Jason's parents to take her in.  Here is another picture the day that we took her in:

Shortly after we moved in (practically the next day), we took a ride over to Petsmart and adopted another little fury friend for Isabelle.  We just couldn't bare to have Isabelle be all by herself, especially when we both left for work at night.  This is where my little boy comes in, Simba.

College has also been a wonderful experience and I have learned a lot about the business world.  2014 has brought me a little bit closer toward accomplishing my associates degree which is really exciting.  Provided that I attend the winter semester of 2014 and the spring semester of 2015, I should have my associates degree in June of 2015 and can then continue onto my bachelors degree.

My grandmother sold her house and relocated to Florida with her companion, Kenny.  She also came to visit Jason and I for a weekend which was super fun.  She spoiled me so entirely much while she was here and I loved it, I'm not going to lie.  My two most favorite cousins in the WHOLE wide world became pregnant. Kayla will be having Violet (obviously a girl) December 29th as she has to be induced and Amanda will be having Rylee (girl) sometime in 2015.

We also had some not-so-great things happen this year as well.  Jason's mother had a heart attack back in March and that was pretty scary.  She had a 90% blockage in one of her arteries.  Robin Williams passed away which was also a sad event.  He was such a great person and actor.  He will always be remembered.  Then this month, Jason's grandmother had a heart attack.  Back in the mid of September, I got hurt on a job and have been out on workers compensation ever since.

It happens.

I also enjoyed watching this season of The Walking Dead.  I'm very sad that Beth died, but surprisingly, I don't want them to bring her back like all the other TWD fans do.  You just don't do that when you are a true fan of something.  If you are a true fan, you like something for what it is.  You don't try to modify it.  Beth died because that's what the producer wanted.  I'm actually pretty excited to see how the next season plays out.  Wait.  There is actually one exception in the event that someone dies that it's acceptable to demand them to come back which is Daryl.  Oh my word!  I truly believe that if he dies, I'd stop watching the show.  He makes that show everything that it is.

I've also had the honor of listening to some pretty awesome jams this year.  Just some of the few are Sam Smith's, Stay with me || Echosmith's, Cool Kids || & Clean Bandit's, Rather be.

Movie wise, we enjoyed Neighbors and The Fault in our Stars.  Okay, so I just realized that we need to definitely get back on track with the movies.  There are so many that we have left to see from 2014.  Good thing Jason has two whole weeks off coming up for Christmas break.  We can catch up then!

All in all, 2014 was a pretty good year for us.  We came a long way from where we were in just a years time.  That's more than most people can say.

That is my 2014 review.

On that note, here is to a new year of doing better and being better with absolutely zero intentions!  Who wants to hop on the 'Boycott New Year Resolution's' band wagon?
